Last night I graduated from the 200- Hour Advanced Studies Program at Downtown Yoga. What an amazing journey it has been! This program was a year long and when it started it seemed so far away. But now that it has come to an end, it's weird to see how fast it flew by. I started the program backwards with 2 lovely ladies. Well, I guess it isn't really backwards it was just the way it was meant to be. But we got the pleasure of being with 2 separate groups of wonderful people in this program. We got to attend and support the first group graduate (as seen below) and have a beautiful ceremony filled with love and happy tears. The 3 of us watched these stunning yoginis receive their certification and share their stories. We couldn't wait for our turn, even if it was a small one, but decided we'd return in traditional Indian garb and support the second group graduate.

Tonight though we got our own little ceremony and shared our stories and experiences. We also wished, Anna, a farewell since she is moving back to Australia this weekend. Just in the knick of time too, about 30 weeks pregnant and just graduating tonight. Sad to see her go, but now more of a reason to go to Australia and visit my fellow yoga instructor!

I am so thankful for meeting all these wonderful people and it's been amazing watching everyone grow, change and blossom. I have so many people to thank I will start sounding like those actors at the Oscars and the music will start rolling and they'll have to cut the microphone off. But my point is I am so grateful for my entire support team, family, friends, and yoga family. My teachers are absolutely amazing and I am so beyond glad to have met them and to have learned from them. The program may be over but it really is just the beginning! I've learned so much over this past year and I can't wait to continue learning more.

Yoga is not about touching your toes, its about what you learn on the way down.

What's Next?

My teacher, Jim, asked me this at the beginning of December and I honestly didn't have a clue. Then wouldn't you know it shortly after him asking that things started to fall into place. So without revealing too much, so many exciting things to come this year. I cannot wait to share everything through blog, Facebook, Instagram and in person.

This has truly been a blessing in my life.
